ASIC Bans Financial Advisor Shane Rose
On 20 March 2024 ASIC banned QLD-based financial adviser Shane Rose from providing any financial services. Mr Rose, recorded as the managing director of Private Wealth Group, was held by ASIC to have engaged in conduct that was dishonest, by using the client invested funds for purposes other than which they were given.

Mr Rose, recorded as the managing director of Private Wealth Group, was held by ASIC to have engaged in conduct that was dishonest, by using the client invested funds for purposes other than which they were given.
ASIC stated in the media release that Rose knew funds had been deposited for the purpose of investing in a financial product and that he knowingly and dishonestly applied those funds for purposes other than which they were invested.
Mr Rose has the right to appeal the ASIC banning order with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal
