Financial Services and Credit Panel issues registration prohibition against Glenn Paul Meilak
On 5 February 2025, the Financial Services and Credit Panel revoked Glenn Paul Meilak’s financial advice registration from 10 February 2025 to 10 February 2027 due to systemic incompetence, unethical conduct, and SMSF-related advice failures. Affected clients can seek legal advice.
On 5 February 2025 the Financial Services and Credit Panel issued orders removing Mr Glenn Paul Meilak’s registration as a relevant provider of financial advice from 10 February 2025 to 10 February 2027.
According to ASIC’s website the Financial Services and Credit Panel found that Mr Meilak:
- gave advice to set up self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs);
- exhibited conduct that was systemic, displayed a lack of care and a level of incompetence in providing the advice to his clients; and
- had not complied with the values of competence and fairness and Standards 1, 5 and 9 in the Code of Ethics.
Mr Meilak is the director and owner of Definitive Wealth Management.
